Analog surveillance systems utilize proven videotape recording and work well in countless security applications of every type. Analog recorders offer a variety of recording modes including S-VHS and S-VHS ET to extend time-lapse recording up to 960 hours on a T-120, while still allowing careful analysis of images. Also, there are now advanced high-density recorders that allow for more efficient use of storage media. The main benefit of utilizing analog surveillance is the lower cost of equipment as compared to digital surveillance systems.
