Digital Surveillance

Digital surveillance technology has opened up vast new possibilities in surveillance operations and management. Unlike tape-based systems, digital recorders capture surveillance video directly to high-capacity hard drives that can store far more video in a given space, allowing you to instantly access stored video images without having to search through hours of tape. Better still, digital surveillance systems are scaleable and flexible, capable of providing remote access to the video and integrating with multiple technologies across a LAN or WAN. Also, digital surveillance systems have event activated recording capability which enables recording only if an event or motion is detected in a specific area of the cameras field of view. This eliminates any unnecessary recordings. End users can print the data, e-mail it over a network, save it, delete it, or even burn it. Digital surveillance systems are quickly replacing VHS recording as they offer many more features and capabilities. The technology is constantly improving, thus allowing for the technical capabilities and integration possibilities of digital video technology to be virtually limitless. To simplify learning curves, digital recorders are designed with simple, easy-to-understand controls and software interfaces.
