Telephone Entry

Telephone entry systems are used in a similar way as intercom systems, however instead of the use of a master station, when the "call" button on the sub station is activated it communicates directly through a touch-tone telephone. For example in a gated housing community where a visitor wants to gain access, he will enter a pin number such as the residences address into the intercom substation, press the "call" button, then a distinctive ring on resident's regular touch-tone telephone is produced. The resident can then pick up the phone, speak with the visitor and grant access by pressing a programmed telephone button.
